The mid-term session of the SSSSL was held on 27th & 28th June 2024 under the theme of “Cutting Edge Technologies & Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Phosphorus Management”. The technical session was held on 27th June at the SRICANSOL Center, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka followed by a field excursion. The event featured insightful invited presentations from Prof. Darshani Kumaragamage, Faculty of Environmental Studies and Sciences, The University of Winnipeg, Canada, Prof. Warshi Dandeniya, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and Mr. A.H. Kulasiri, the General Manager (Research & Product/ Market Development), CIC Agribusiness (pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka.

The event also included a field excursion to the Rice Research & Development Institute, Bathalagoda, and the CIC Seed Farm, Pelwehera, allowing members of the SSSSL to explore practical applications of sustainable phosphorus management in local agriculture.
